FAQ's
What are anti-wrinkle injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections are commonly referred to as ‘Botox’, short for Botulinum toxin. This is a naturally occurring protein that causes the muscles of the face to relax, consequently smoothing out wrinkles. It is the UK’s most popular cosmetic treatment for the removal of wrinkles.
With a quick procedure and undeniable results, anti-wrinkle injections are the most popular cosmetic treatment available. Thousands of men and women receive anti-wrinkle injections in the UK every year. By relaxing the facial muscles, wrinkles are made less visible; this results in a natural, rejuvenated look.

What aftercare is recommended?
Keeping your facial muscles active after the procedure will help the treatment to take effect. Try to avoid any unnecessary touching of your face during the 6-hour period directly after your treatment.
Do not consume any alcohol or pain medication immediately after the anti-wrinkle procedure, and avoid air travel for 24 hours. We do not recommend undergoing any electrical rejuvenation treatments in the week following your Botox treatment.

How does it work?
A minute quantity of Botox is injected into the muscles that cause dynamic lines, for example frown lines. The injection temporarily prevents nerve signals from reaching the muscle and as a result, the muscle relaxes, the skin smoothes out. This is not a permanent condition but it will last 3-4 months. It has been proven to be quite safe to have Botox injections at the above frequency over a period of years.
